Hello my Biab friends.

I submit a small alternative rock composition.
tools used Vst Biab with extraction of midi melodic parts from different realtracks. Assembly with different orchestral vst. I take this opportunity to give you the link to free orchestral vst for background pads. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NcF4iZ2f0o

The link of sound cloud to my compo "world of love" is:

Such a good day already. First Mario's March To The Gallows, and now another masterpiece from you, Derochette. Man, you pack each tune with so many ear-goodies that with each listen one can discover new gems. So well done, and so much listening enjoyment.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Crossover rock music with guitar and/or synthesizers and classical background is something I've always loved and always will.

Very good song, well arranged and pretty well mixed.
Enjoyed the listen.
A lot!

Derochette, this moves along quite nicely, lots to listen to.

It could be a soundtrack for a host of different film genres and I like it a lot.

Did you play any instruments?

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Hello Peterf.

Thank you for commenting on my composition. To answer your question about my working method, it all depends on the genre of music. For this one, I developed my chord sequence with two real strumming and finger guitar tracks as well as the drums in Classic biab. Then I reopened the song in the vst biab. I then extracted the midi sequence from the chords and then looked for the best sequences from solo realtracks. I took some midi parts on which I put my vst synth. For the drums, I took the midi sequence and the vst Mor from Eastwest for the drums. The choir track (eastwest choir) was overlaid on parts of the melody and chords of the chord track.
I hope to have answered your question. For the name of the realtracks, I put them in the vst biab, I extract what interests me then I select others and so on.

Derochette,
Very skillfully constructed using sophisticated techniques to remake RT instrument passages to suit the big, layered sound.
The title makes me wonder about the personal movie this is soundtrack to... but, as always, your compositions are fuel for the listener`s own imagining.
Well done!

Hi B.D. Thomas,

I generally use the synthesizer very little because I don't master it very well. I put it here on midi guitar solo tracks taken from realtracks. I'm glad you liked it. Thank you for your appreciation.

Hi BassThumper,

In many of my compositions, I play fingerpicked guitar or piano but not here where all the vst instruments have been put on midi lines. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks to you.

To quote B.D. "Crossover rock music with guitar and/or synthesizers and classical background is something I've always loved and always will."

We too have long admired that type of mashup and this is a GREAT example!

Your work flow and the outcome of it is amazing.

Well done!

Hi Chulaivet1966.

Thank you for your nice comment. I often try to use other sound textures to change. Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. But that is what makes us progress.
