Wow. What can I say that hasn't been said already? Superb, in every way. Janice is a star - we know this already. The production is great - we are used to this, too. You all take on a different kind of song and make it your own - again, you have a track record of doing this. Sincerest congratulations - in short, you've done it again.

You know you've made it when people start covering your songs! Clever work-around apparently is to cover your own. Well played you three. Well. Played. Seriously, I'm diggin' how you made this all work! VERY cool. I'm I lazy if I say "all the usual comments apply." I mean, they do. Steller guitar. Steller vocals. Steller mix. I think the song could stand on it's own without the 3 of you. Add you three in and it's "hot damn!" So this will be stuck in my head for a while. A LONG while. Not a complaint. That's an observational fact. -C

Janice, Bud & Peter,
Truly outstanding! A great variety of tracks and awesome arrangement.
Love Peter's guitar and Janice sings this as only she can...
Crystal clear mix with loads of dynamics. Absolutely love it!
Bob We three appreciate that Bob! J&B

Reggaeabilly is a nice twist on what I imagine is a standard English folk tune. Those lyrics are haunting. Mix and instrumentation sounds fantastic. Thanks for bringing another old and mostly forgotten so to life and to the forefront. Thank you! It was both an interesting and fun project. J&B

As usual, everything about this works. Janice nailed the vocal, Peter the guitar, and Bud the mix. That kick drum comes through loud and clear, although I suspect it's actually mostly cajon. In memory of the late, great David Lindley, I'll paste this bit in from the Wikipedia article: David Lindley's version alters the ending and has Polly draw a razor and kill Willie instead. Love hearing of your adventures in other genres, and I appreciate the detailed mix information!

Who doesn't love a murder ballad? Great mix, Bud (as always). The reggaebilly adaption works a treat. Janice's vocals are superb (as always) and Peter's guitar fills are excellent, as is that touch of fiddle.
This reminded me that many years ago I bought an album called 'songs from my funeral' by a duo called Snakefarm, which consisted of contemporary (at the time) updates of traditional folk songs. It included a version of a similarly themed murder ballad, 'Banks of the Ohio'. I expect you know the song, recorded many times by many luminaries. Snakefarm's version, available on Spotify and YouTube, is one I reckon you guys would appreciate.
Regards, Leon
Thanks for the kind words Leon. At every bluegrass festival I attended for years at least one band would do Banks Of The Ohio. That is a BIG version of the song by Snakefarm. Gonna check them out further indeed. Thanks for that. Nice hearing from you! J&B

Hey mon that was fantastic.
Not only is this fantastic, as usual, but you have created a new genre, reggaebilly!
As usual everything is perfect. Thanks! And it was an honor to create a genre

J&B,
"reggaeabilly" music historians will one day look back and credit J&B as the founders of the genre! While I never had the pleasure of hearing the original, I would say that you must be satisfied with this fine production! Janice's voice was made for this tune and delivers it with precision and a rich emotive quality! Loved the guitar work! It's an extremely good production that will surely garner many, many listens!
Thanks, TB

2 chords, a tastefully played guitar and the voice of Janice are all you need to write/re-make a wonderful reggae. And of course a great arrangement and mix by Bud to make everyone shine. Great work by all involved! Thanks! Your generous comments are most appreciated. It was fun! Albeit a murder ballad.

Hello Janice, Peter and Bud Absolutely brilliant mix Janice's voice fits so perfect to the reggae style And Peter's guitar work is in no way inferior to that But extremely impressive is the crystal clear rich sound Bud created here Just an exceptionally good song Many greetings Andi ;-) Thank you Andi! Your comments are very supportive particularly given that this is a genre we rarely work in. Much appreciated. J&B

Fantastic collaboration on a unique interpretation of a classic...which, by the way, you did it justice and then some! Bluegrass is my favorite genre of all-time, so I am def familiar with this tune. Great guitar licks, vocals, and arrangement.
