Welcome to the forums.
For your item 2, you may achieve this by selecting Display Options (right-click any chord cell), then follow these steps:

For your item #1, if this were implemented, it would have to be a user-selected choice and not be automatic. If you want it, that’s fine with me, but I cannot think of anything that would annoy me worse than all songs at the same volume. Before you even start, you have to define which gain standard you want to use. On radio, they compress the life out of songs so everything is full volume all the time. There are functions in stereo editors and DAWs that can do this and match up a song to individual online services, whose standards for compression do not match each other's. The place to request an option like this would be the Wishlist forum here, https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=9&page=1

While I would not want auto volume control perhaps I might find bar 3 to 9 on a certain TRACK too loud or soft for my musical taste. Just as BIAB can mute parts of tracks I think you can tweak part volumes to your taste.

Auto volume is not possible or musically meaningful.

Just slap a compressor and limiter on for now if you want all your dynamics GONE.

Warren is right about using a compressor, in this case to the max.

In case it is relevant, one of my long-standing suggestions for improvement of BIAB is to implement the Mackie standard of support for a MIDI Control Surface, such as the Presonus Faderport. We would have the ability to use real (physical) faders to adjust the levels of each track, and the changes would be stored with the song. Of course you can do this in any DAW, but I would like to stay within BIAB as long as possible while writing a song or arrangement.

Oh yes, that would be most useful!

I used to have a JL Cooper control unit with 32 small sliders on a tablet about the size of an 8x10 sheet of paper. It followed the Mackie HUI but required drivers instead of supporting ASIO and Core MIDI — which made it useless a dozen years ago. There were a handful of us who managed to keep it working for another few years by hacking the installers but eventually, Windows and the macOS changed too much and we had to throw in the towel.
