I haven't used the BIAB VST in a long time.
Because BIAB VSTS have been unstable in the past. Often causing my STUDIO ONE to crash.
I remember when the BIAB VST was 3.0

I recently decided to use BIAB VST again in STUDIO ONE for some reasons.
Do any friends here use BIAB VST in STUDIO ONE?
Are you having problems with crashes now?

Long time no see. how are you?
I have recently started using BIAB VST again. You only generate paragraphs in BIAB VST, right? It's still a complete song.

I gave up using the BiaB VST in Studio One. Way to much trouble using the VST when compared to the BiaB stand a lone version and the DAW mode which work perfectly.
YMMV

Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?

It's a matter of workflow. I'm always looking for the best workflow.

Do you write most of your songs in BIAB first?

It depends. If I am just playing around, no. Mostly, I create a beat and go with it.

If it is a cover, yes, I use BIAB first.

I am doing ok - just really busy.

Thanks for asking!

Yes I write chords and use a style as the first step in my song writing. Note sometimes the chords come from another program like Scaler but I always input them into BiaB.

I have found that the frustration the VST caused me wasn't worth the trouble when the main program works perfectly.

I also like to use BIAB, but I like the drums and BASS to be replaced.
If I keep going at the same speed. If you click Play in STUDIO ONE, you can ask BIAB to play.
This way I can always try to listen, but I don't need to use the BIAB VST yet
