For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

We have no problem with calling it cinematic. Having never looked up a formal definition I've always assumed the term as defining a tune that would work well supporting a scene in a film, in closing credits and amenable to being chopped into short segments if need be ... and that is all most readily done via an instrumental. IMHO and FWIW

For us the feel of this song is grandeur, wide open spaces, epic landscape, etc.

A babbling way to say we enjoyed it smile

Could be prog rock song, with a few time changes etc.

Quite an enjoyable piece.

No babble at all and I've never looked up cinematic either.

Thanks so much for the listen and kind words.

Hmmm, prog rock. You're the first to mention this.
Maybe 50% cinematic and 50% prog rock?

In any event Peter, thanks for the listen and positive feedback.

I really don't hear the "mud". The panning is
Rhythm Guitar: L25
Lead Guitar: R25
Flute: L25
Piano: R25
Everything else is centered.
I'll let Billy comment further if he chooses to.

That's fairly narrow panning which would be why I heard it as "muddy": things a little crowded and freqs overlapping may have been a better comment.
If you pushed the rhythm & piano wider there'd be more space & less overlap.
Not that these things matter greatly - I like mono and all variations of a soundstage.
Interesting work.

Cheers
