Maybe this helps explain my ill attempts at writing it out. Janice has been a melismatic singer all her life based on a love of early Black gospel, blues and jazz. When we posted this years ago it was criticized by a forum member as being too much vocal dancing. What do you say to that ... nothing but it's the way she feels it. But the song ended up being licensed a couple of times so we felt better about it. So back to my point I haven't yet heard any synth vocals in this style ... again not saying it can't be done just curious. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-M0fEB6iWnQBud Yeah, a song is worth a thousand words It would be tedious work to incorporate all those little bends, but this type of bending is certainly doable. But, it certainly wouldn't be as good as Janice's voice, as all the cute little voice breaks (doable with some of the synth-voices) and a certain roughness (not doable right now) add a lot of life and character to the performance. Right now (at least) the Synth V voices are too clean to have that. By the way, this forum member was wrong of course, her vocal dancing is great!

PS - there will never be a synth vocal as good as Janice sings. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is wrong. It's not a question of "if" but "when" such good and soulful singing as Janice's will be possible. But that's another discussion, I think. But I agree, that was an outstanding vocal performance.

Janice and Bud, that was absolutely outstanding.
PS - there will never be a synth vocal as good as Janice sings. Thank you Mario. When it comes to her vocals it is what it is. Almost always the first take and I’ve never even looked at her vocals in a pitch editor. But I do use them to tweak instrumental tracks. Maybe this helps explain my ill attempts at writing it out. I think you nailed it with how clean the synth vocals are. Janice is a contralto and also has some definite edge on her vocals. Kinda like a bit of overdrive. She has a large range as she sang very high in our bluegrass band years but the lower end has been fun exploring for the past decade or so. You do a great job with the synth vocals. I’ve no doubt they will soon dominate the ad and film industry. But there will always be the joy of live performance. But then there are robots! Bud

When we posted this years ago it was criticized by a forum member as being too much vocal dancing. Sounds like something I wrote. Not the first time I'd be completely wrong about something, either...

They sound IMO hugely more Showbox jiofi.local.html tplinklogin realistic than the examples in this link which shows it's synthetic sound in the first vocal bar.
