For some time now, one can read more and more frequently about children being abused or even killed by their parents or relatives.
And this worldwide.
In Germany these cases are also increasing rapidly...
And often this happens because friends and acquaintances and also the youth welfare offices look away and remain silent !
When I read something like this, it makes me infinitely sad and that's why I decided to write a song to help the children a little and maybe contribute to the fact that the children and hopefully raise awareness of this
growing problem and these children's plight.

If even ONE CHILD has less fear and pain through our song, the work has already been WORTH IT !!!!

This song is at the same time also the first one we recorded under the new name "SOUND GUARDIANS".
PROJECT M stands from now on only for (Hard)Rock music.

DJ, Marty, Shigeki and Wolle really deliver a remarkable performance here and get everything out of the song.
Producing this song with such top musicians was just a pleasure.
And I hope there will be some more songs to follow...

Many greetings
Andi ;-)

Listen to DON'T LOOK AWAY

See him in his silence
See her in her dread
Neglect that leads to violence
And we just turn our heads

They live in fear every day
And hide behind the words they say
A blackened eye, a broken bone
Just one more lie in a loveless home

And even if you don't see it
It happens anyway
This damn shame is everywhere
It happens everyday

Children must be happy
Children must be loved
Children need attention
Is that asking way too much?

And when you see
And when you feel
That something’s not OK
Don’t look away

We’re the only hope they have left
The path to the light ahead
Let's care enough to recognize
They’re too young to help themselves

They don’t know what love feels like
They’ve never had a friend
They hide the scars and bruises
When will this madness end

And even if you don't see it
It happens anyway
This damn shame is everywhere
It happens everyday

Children must be happy
Children must be loved
Children need attention
Is that asking way too much?

And when you see
And when you feel
That something’s not OK
Don’t look away

Hi Andi,

What a wonderful song on that horrific topic.
You all did a very good job when it comes to the lyrics, the arrangement, the vocals and all in between like the strings and bass.
I also enjoyed the solo from Wolfgang, but in this song I prefer them to be more harsh and shrill, if you know what I mean.
The issue needs that. But don't tell Wolly...

I am really impressed by what you achieved here!
And the message is unfortunately very much needed.

Hans

Andi,

An extremely tough subject... You have written this song with great sensitivity and the production is wonderful. The vocal by Deej is just outstanding.

Excellent all around.

Andi...what a fantastic colab...such a superior song in every way possible...the theme is so appropriate for today and written so well...the band is so pro sounding and mixed exquisitely...all of the guys in Sound Guardian are top-notch musicians...no one delivers passionate lyrics better than Deej...thank you Andi for composing such a poignant and relative piece of music and thanks for posting it for us to hear!

Andi & crew,

Strong.
A good write. Sad subject.

Deej does a great job on vocals.
The strings (Shigeki Adachi) are a standout.
Marty does his ever-excellent Bass work (great sounding bass!)
Nice production. Good mix.
Terrific collaboration.

Hi, Andi.

Good write.

The song is to the point, and everyone - from the vocals to the instruments - are excellent.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Andi,
your songs really shine with a 100% vocalist & Deej is certainly 1000% any day.
The arrangement, playing and mix are great. I'd have liked the strings to have a stronger stereo presence, (they seem L channel focused to me).
fabulous work fellows - a cracker with a message.

Cheers

From top to bottom a great collab sung with passion and intent.

For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Superb collaboration, Deej's vocals are wonderfully passionate, and Shigeki's strings are truly lovely. Marty lays down a great bass and the guitar is very nice.

Excellent work.

My goodness what a song!! Brought a tear to my eye. What a message, the instruments almost over ride the vocals, but overall it is a great production!!

This song makes me smile because of how good it is, how wonderfully it was done, and how magically it all came together from different parts of the world. It makes me sad because it is actually necessary. I know we all have different experiences and different influences in our lives, but kids...? Sheesh, shouldn't that be THE most important thing for everyone. Sucha good song, Andi. Thanks for writing and producing it, and thanks for inviting me to be a small part of it. Shigeki, Deej, Wolfgang ---you guys are so inspirational.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Important, but sad subject. Good lyrics and Deej expresses the pain of the story emotionally. The chorus is very catchy, classic pop song feel, could be a theme song for child protection or similar.
Great collaboration, hope to hear much more from Sound Guardians.

Andi, what a great lyric about such a sad subject.
If this doesn’t tug at one’s heart then we don’t know what will.

Deej’s increased intensity in his fine vocals as the song progresses is very effective.
Shigeki’s strings are sensitive, Marty’s bass is the perfect glue, as always, and Wolfgang’s guitar has just the right tone for this subject.

Your choice of RT’s and RD and the whole production is great.

Great collaboration!

Hi Bob
Thanks for your kind words
My original text was not really well done especially in the verses. That's why I was glad that DJ did such a great job on the verses.
Many greetings
