Don't imagine there will be new drivers as the card has been discontinued. I've kept it because of the XG hookup.
If I went the module route then I would be looking for a clean audio card. The mixer I use is the Tascam Portastudio 488 but I record to the Computer.
I was actually thinking that I might be better XGs if I moved to more recent XG hardware like the sound module - might have said MU 128 which was released in 1998 - still XG voices but lots cheaper than say the MU2000.
The issue then becomes just a new soundcard if I go to Win7.

If I look at it practically, my current XP rig with more RAM will probably do all I ask, and outlast my hearing to boot.
