Decided to save the cool sounding up note "you" for the outro, just to give the listener something new, and a reason to (perhaps) listen again. I mean, if listeners stick around for 3+ minutes there should be a payoff, right? So I could have gone either way, but in the end I thought it served the song better the way you heard it. Of course, I could be wrong (again)... A good point that also makes me think about my own songs. I don't want to derail this thread, so I opened my own here in the Songwriting forum. Feel free to add your own thoughts!
