I Got Two Am continuing to incorporate the input from the last three songs into some remixes. THANK YOU to all who have taken the time to help. This was a welcome challenge in that the vocalist crushed the vocals from the first note, which left me with how to sustain the energy. Really interested in how this sounds to you. Key=A , Tempo 130, Length (m:s)=3:04 Style is _GROTTO.STY (Grotto 12-string Hard Rock) RealTracks in style: 995:Bass, Electric, HardRockLA Ev 120 RealTracks in style: ~1030:Guitar, 12-String Electric, Fingerpicking Ev 120 RealTracks in style: 2757:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm RockHeavy8thsCraig Ev 120 RealTracks in style: 2758:Guitar, Electric, Rhythm RockHeavy8thsMurray Ev 120 RealDrums in style:RockHardModernEv8^1-a:Snare, HiHat , b:4 beat Snare, HiHat Lyrics: R.W. Davis Vocals and BGV arrangement: D.A. Hughes Mixing done in Studio One. The 12-string has compression and reverb. Lead vocals have 1/16 tape delay and a smidge of plate reverb. Harmony vocals are dry. BGVs have a little reverb added. I got two hands to reach out to you I got two eyes that want to see you I got two ears listening for you I got two halves of my brain to think about you I got two legs to run after you I got two arms that want to hold you I got two tears glistening for you I got two halves of my heart just beating for you I got to tell you this I got to tell you how important it is Cos now it’s me Only me And I don’t really wanna be on my own When I’m too, too, too, too, too much alone I got too many heartaches I got too many bad breaks I felt too many earthquakes And I made too many mistakes I got two lips that used to kiss you I got two goldfish that always miss you I got two door keys and one’s still for you I got two halves of my bed just waiting for you I got to tell you this I got to tell you how important it is Cos now it’s me Only me And I don’t really wanna be on my own When I’m too, too, too, too, too much alone I got to tell you this...

Sounds great! I got two goldfish that always miss youHa! Nice line. The delayed vocal in my right ear got a bit tedious really quickly, though. It felt "unbalanced". But that's my only nit. Fun bit of pop, enjoyed it a lot.

Fun bit of pop, enjoyed it a lot. David, thanks for the listen. Yeah, that goldfish line gets me every time. Too absurd to be real but it still means something tangible. Will keep an eye on the off-center vox delay, didn't mean for it to be a distraction. There was method in my madness, but it was probably still just madness. Ha! Glad you enjoyed it! Ron,

Bob Bob, glad you enjoyed the tune! Dusty's vocals are always killer. I sometimes under produce his vocals because I don't want to blur any of the details. THANKS!

You definitely keep the energy high! Pretty cool lyrics and delivery, and even when the band has a lot of energy, it never gets in the way of the singer. That's good catchy stuff!

Yeah, Dusty pegged out on the vocals, which I love even though I had to remix the song to let them shine. Glad it worked for you! You definitely keep the energy high! Pretty cool lyrics and delivery, and even when the band has a lot of energy, it never gets in the way of the singer. That's good catchy stuff! B.D., thanks for the input! Staying out of the way of the vocal performance while while creating a musical song/story in support was the priority. Very gratifying that it worked for you. Fun and catchy tune!!! It's bright, lively and has a good lyric/melody. My only sugg is to turn down the kick drum a tad.

Great song and I love the concept of the lyrics ... though I was a bit concerned about what else you might have two of!

Yeah, the kick might be a bit forward. I do try to listen for things like this in multiple listening environments before mixing down final, but suspect I just get fatigued and miss things anyway. That's why it's especially nice to leverage the ears of this forum. THANKS again!!

I like your treatment of the vocal with the delay and plate reverb. Everything is mixed very well.
Good driving song. Well written and a terrific performance. Love those harmonies.

You really have a gift to create catchy pop rock tunes, feels like a forgotten hit of the 80's, nice energetic one to party along. Clever lyrics, but not "too" clever I like the way you use "two", "to" and "too". Pleasant sounding band and excellent vocals. Janne

I commented on this yesterday - seems I hit the wrong button somewhere. I think it sounds great but the "I Got" got to me after a while. Changing either the verse of the chorus to "I have" would've provided a change. That's old me responding though as I took a lesson in 1967 as gospel...we buried "got".
