Tom,
I don't mind if there is some preaching in a song, as long as the song itself is good.
And yours is very good.
Your vocals are strong, but sensitive too. I like that!

I also think it is important that children can laugh.
But I know someone who doesn't remember laughing as a child. I thought that was very bad...

We love this:
“If you don’t learn to laugh like you were a child
Happy free and a little bit wild”

We read the lyric first days ago and loved it right off the bat. Then we listened and said, “YES!”

Your vocals are rich and textured, your guitars are excellent, the band is ace, the arrangement is very engaging and the mix is pro.
The production is equal to the best we hear anywhere ... and we listen to a LOT of music.

We had the privilege of playing and recording with a grammy nominated mandolin picker for years and, man, your use of that RT is remarkable.

Here’s to life, love and laughter!

I also enjoyed it, stellar mix and GREAT dynamics. The only knit I'd pick is (IMHO) that the mandolin seems to dominate the song and distracted me somewhat from the rest of the band and vocals. Again, just my opinion, but overall the song was excellent and I listened all the way thru.

The chorus lyrics are my favorite part. Not too preachy at all. Good work putting together the band for this. The mandolin throughout is a nice touch that elevates the production.

Totally terrific, Tom.
It can be hard to find the balance between inspiring and preachy, but you nailed it. Great vocal, sweet mandolin. Top shelf all round.

Leon

Tom,

It's definitely a bit preachy, but it's a very pop and easy-to-listen country song.
The mandolin is very effective.
The vocals are also convincing.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.
