Biab has made a big leap this year but for those that want more:
I Think the problem with the stuff I post is it's so far ahead and down the track to give way more control of creativity, from where most users are now BUT will be there in the future.
This is why I spent so much time and effort with Reaper showing how Biab and the BBPlugin can work way better.
All this stuff can NOW be done in Reaper so professionally, instantly and easily with the BBPlugin ver 6
or if you only use Biab Open SGU in Reaper will instantly transfer tracks to Reaper and update any sections anywhere.
Allowing over 255 bar limit.
Fit to any varying tempo map.
You can have so many Tabs with projects in and copy from one to the other.
You can create up so many different project Tabs using your chords in so many different Styles instantly, no hours of rendering and dragging.
Being able to name the RT RD track sections that you can see where instruments change.
Being able to write the chord names to the track sections.
Being able to instantly change from FX <> Direct Input keeping the same riffs.
Convert a Stereo drum track into Stems instantly.
Having Video RealTrack/Drums.
You know what, I think I can even load a VST3 in Reaper.
I don't have to wait years for things that might be implemented as I can look in Reapack for a script, ask in the forum for one or make one myself and it's done that very day.

It could take years for the penny to drop or it can happen today !

Move-selected-tracks-to-new-tab.zip
As tracks are generated directly from the Style Picker you can move them to a new Tab by selecting all the tracks below the BBPlugin track then run the script.
Look at the Style tempo and set that tempo for the new Tab.
The script will add the 2 bar count-in.

Regions-Markers-to-item-takes-markers-selected-track.zip

To get chords into Reaper from the VST right click the C7 icon at top of chord sheet and set it to output label and block chords (these can be used for virtual instruments), just drag the C7 icon into the very start of Reaper onto an empty track, check Import Markers.
You can convert the Marker to Regions if you like with SWS: Convert markers to regions (https://sws-extension.org/).
Select a track you want the Chords written to as Take Markers, then run a script
Script: Markers to item takes markers selected track.lua
Script: Regions to item takes markers selected track.lua

VST6-Reaper-Video-Tracks.mp4

You can put a Mute automation on each video track this will allow the one below to show.
So each track was duplicated and the volume turned right down on it.
The "Change selected realtrack source file type.lua" is run on each selected video track using mp4 input.
View > Video will show video window.
You can render to new video.
You can get Biab to render the chord sheet to video and use that with a picture in picture video FX.

Change-selected-realtrack-source-file-type.zip
This will change existing media items of one file type to another when available in the source folder (like .mp4 for Video RT/RD).
You can batch convert the RealTracks and RealDrums folders to any compatible Reaper file type.
Just select track and choose file type.

Move-selected-tracks-to-new-tab.zip
Updated to set time signature if you choose a 3/4 you can set to 3, default is 4/4 set to 4, so you can open as many Styles as you like using your chords in a new Tab, you don't have to spend ages rendering and dragging, you are not creating any wav files filling up the hard drive:

Write Region/Marker Chord Names as Take Markers it items, Save as Track Template

This allows you to save tracks as templates with the chords, it will only be a small file as it's just saving the source file data only.
Check "Included track items in template" see link above the get Biab Chords as marker or Regions in Reaper.

If I generate different solo sections in Biab I can instantly transfer them to a new track in Reaper using Open SGU in Reaper .
If I select all the items then > Action: "Tracks: Implode selected items across tracks to one fixed lane track"
then set to comping. Because the riff aren't consolidated wav files you have so much more control and creativity.
This makes video editing so easy, and you can also edit Video RealTracks.

If you have a Studio One forum account go there and ask the users if there is any scripting information to import media file section into Studio One as I can't find any frown

New GUI script Set-SGU-MGU-single-frozen-track-or-section-to-import-to-selected-track-GUI.zip
This allows you to set the current SGU you are working on in Biab and instantly import any frozen track or section, so each time I generate a new bit or freeze a different track I Ctrl+ S Biab first then click the Import SGU in Reaper:

I don't think we should go that far.
It'll waste a lot of time. Just make music.

Import-frozen-SGU-MGU-realtracks-drums-tracks-GUI.zip
This gives the great song generation power of Biab with professional editing.
Use this "Browse" button to set the path of the frozen SGU/MGU, this can be the SGU you are currently working on in Biab.
"Reaload Tracks" button will load all the currently frozen tracks in the SGU.
"Selected" button will transfer the track instantly into the selected track.
"New" button will transfer the track instantly into a new track.
"Set" button will set Reaper bpm to same as SGU.
"Import Chords" button will import the current SGU chords as regions (make sure to Unfold and save first), it will set the bpm and time signature.
If you update or add new tracks in Biab, just freeze the track and save, then simply hit the "Reload Tracks" button to update the track list.

EDIT: If you don't have the peak files already it will have to build them but once you have the reapeaks files it will be instant.
You can use Script: Create reapeaks in folder.lua

If you want to work in Biab directly and still want to transfer to Reaper, you can have Biab running in Plug-In mode so it's always on top of Reaper, then you can work simultaneously in both apps.
Once you hit Reload Tracks it will instantly update the GUI with any new tracks or track changes that can be instantly transferred into Reaper:

I tried to find something about scripting in the S1 forums, but found nothing.
Ain't there a Studio One beta tester in the forum?
Maybe that one could help?
All these script made available to "integrate" BiaB with Reaper seem very usefull, but they do not justify (at least for me) to learn another DAW.
If I could have all these integrations (or just a subset) within S1 would be very nice.

Reaper is made by the same developer that made WinAmp, it was designed to be user customizable as this is what users want.
To wait a year in hope that the developer might add this or that feature is a killer, when you give users control via scripting it can be made today.
If you are sick of waiting you would be best just to try Reaper as you can try n try n try.... it for free, it's pretty simple to use, more so than other DAWs.

I have been reading and watching your submissions to the forum for a while now and you have really peaked my interest in using Reaper with BIAB.

My question is where does one start the journey and can you suggest a starting place?

I know that might be a lot to ask but where would you suggest to start.

Thanks.

1. Download and Install Reaper https://www.reaper.fm/download.php
2. Download Scripts Import-frozen-SGU-MGU-realtracks-drums.zip
3. Unzip Scripts:
This will import RealTracks and RealDrums Audio from a frozen SGU/MGU (no UserTracks at the moment).

copy the Lua script/s

In Reaper menu Actions > Show action list (Shift+?)

In Actions dialog "New Action" > "Load Reascript"

this will open the Scripts folder, paste the script/s in this folder then select them and "Open"

they will now be in the Scripts/Actions list, you can search by name eg: "SGU".

Select > Script: Import frozen SGU MGU realtracks drums.lua then click "Edit"

at the top you will see:

default_tracks_dir = "C:\\bb\\RealTracks\\" --(for Win use \\, for Mac use / :default directory for RealTracks wav files

default_drums_dir = "C:\\bb\\Drums\\" --(for Win use \\, for Mac use / :default directory for RealDrums wav files

file_type = ".wma" --{".wma",".wav",".m4a",".aiff",".flac",".mp3",".wv",".ogg"}

take_markers = 1 -- 1 for ON, 0 for OFF Show RT RD name in the items as Take Markers, good if you have instrument changes on a track .

-- Action> Item: Delete all take markers (will remove all take markers from all selected items)

project_notes = 1 -- 1 ON, 2 OFF Save Biab info to Project notes (File > Project settings).

set these to to what you want, make sure you use 2 \\ for Win path and / for Mac path (not tested with Mac as I don't use Mac anymore).

same for Script: Import single frozen track or section SGU MGU to selected track.lua

You can batch convert your wma m4a wav aiff to any other format that is compatible with Reaper.

Reaper will read the project tempo from the SGU

If you have time signature changes or tempo changes just drag a midi/RC file from Biab into Reaper and import the tempo first.

In Biab Preferences > Output Chords set it to output chords this will give midi chord markers you can also import.

In Save MIdi File Option uncheck Part Markers so they won't overlap the chord names.

Then "Run" selected script.

Script: Import single frozen track or section SGU MGU to selected track.lua

this will import 1 frozen Biab track or section/s to selected track,

this script won't set the tempo in Reaper as it assumes you are just adding tracks or srctions and have the tempo set already,

so if you don't like a track section/s in Reaper just delete that track section and back in Biab clear the track then use Alt+F8 or Multi Picker to generate up a new section then save (it should be already Frozen) then run this script to import new section/s.

When it loads the RealTrack for the first time it might take a while to create the peak files,

if you want it instant then there is a Script: Create reapeaks in folder.lua this will create reapeaks for all the wma or wav or etc.. files in the RealTracks and Drums folders.

Auto crossfade is turned of when importing SGU this stops crossfades being added so notes or beats can sustain over the next item.

Other scripts:

Import frozen SGU MGU realtracks drums-tracks GUI.lua (select any track from frozen SGU)

Change selected realtrack source file type.lua (allows changing of any RT RD source file type wma, wav, flac, mp3, wavepack, ogg etc... as long as these file types are in the source Rt or RD folders as Reaper can batch convert)

Create stems from selected realdrums stereo track.lua (as long as you have the Drum Stems of the RD it will give you the exact same sections in all the Stems)

Change selected realtrack to fx.lua (instantly change a guitar from Direct Input to FX version keeping the same riffs)

Change selected realtrack to direct input.lua (instantly change a guitar from FX to Direct Input version keeping the same riffs)

Create reapeaks in folder.lua (batch creates peak files in the RT and RD folders to allow instant loading of tracks into Reaper, normally Reaper will create them as you go so next time you use the same RT RD it will be instant)

ReaTrak Biab SGU MGU.. to regions ab.lua (Imports Biab chords as Regions)

Studio One does support scripting, but not many people are using this feature. Here's one example:
