May I introduce: Goldmania Bella - A One-Man Girlband with no fans

The usual information that nobody asked for:

Why?
Well, after listening to my first EP, a good friend (who has a lot more experience with this stuff than I do)
said: "Good music, now you have to promote it to get it to the people".

He also said that he makes about a beer a day with his music on Spotify, and I thought that was pretty cool
ignoring the fact that I don't drink beer at all.
I'm one of those snobbish wine drinkers...

Anyway, I successfully ignored his advice, and to this day I have exactly one follower on Spotify,
and that's me.
That's
  • a) pretty embarrassing, because everyone will rightly assume that it's just me.
  • b) unsatisfying because every time I get a notification that the band has released a new song,
I have this déjà vu feeling that I've heard this song before

Promotion via a tour with the band is also out of the question because the girls refuse to leave my computer
for whatever reason, probably stage fright.

Goldmania Bella?
The name "B.D.Thomas" for a band with (mostly) female singers sounds, ahem, a bit unfeminine.
I like the word "Bella", mainly because of the way it sounds.
And it means (female) "beauty" in many languages.
I like that.

Well, much like domain names, good band names are preemptively claimed by institutions that never do
anything with them, just so they can sell them in case there is demand.
And everything that has to do with "Bella" is pretty much covered by them.
I should write a song about these idiots!

But they can't claim species names. There's a rare hummingbird somewhere down in Panama or something called Goldmania Bella.
Gold, Mania, Bella ... 3 nouns that I like smile
Here we go...
And I have a cool logo for free!

The album?
Not much news for you here, as all but one song have already been posted here, but I thought the first place to
mention the album should be where I got such valuable help writing the songs.
Without the encouraging and critical feedback I get here, I probably wouldn't release my music at all.
You guys'n'girls rule!
And before you ask: No, unlike most of you, I don't get much support from my family: my wife only listens to R&B and Latin music, my son listens to that kind of techno music that sounds like a car assembly belt somewhere near Detroit, only louder, my father thinks anything past Bach or Beethoven is crap (I disagree, but he has a point), and the only family member who liked my music because of the vocal harmonies died not too long ago.
I'm alone (insert sobbing sound -> here <-).

What do I expect?
Fame, fortune and a Grammy. And if things go _really_ well, maybe a second follower on Spotify.

Where?
  • Spotify (preferably if you have an account there, because ... well, you know that by now)
  • YouTube (you don't need an account there and you can watch my boring videos while listening to my boring music. Double the pain...)
  • Goldmania Bella Homepage (a small homepage I have created where you can find links to everything else. Not very sophisticated because I hate JavaScript, but gets the job done)

As always, comments and feedback (good and bad) on the album, this campaign, the band name, my embarrassing pleas for attention and anything else you can think of, aside from politics, are very welcome.

To quote Floyd: Write something!
