It's a very nice swinging Norleans Jazz sound that really captures the spirit of that place! The vocal sounds eerily close to a combination of Mickey Gilley and Jerry Lee Lewis (close relatives of each other)
A totally great production!

You had me hooked right from the opening Sax, and it got better from there.
Great groove, you really captured that New Orleans vibe, and you have the perfect voice for this type of material.

Cool song.
Last year my wife and I went to N.O. to visit my daughter who lives and works there. She holds some fancy position with the WWII museum related to tours and bringing in the remaining soldiers from WWII. Anyway, I digress..... We had a large time and while in the city and in particular, Bourbon street, I heard lots of music but none of it was the Jazz styling that the city is famous for. Perhaps that was to be found in the smaller hole in the wall joints off the beaten path.
Good song about a cool city.
