I have tested out AI gnerated voices using the two apps below:
Kits.AI
Controlla Voice

I simply input my vocal track and generate an AI track singing the same song based on my vocal input, but with an AI substitued voice. What I can do is very limited since I have not paid $$ anything and am just using free features.

I have to tell you I like what I hear. The AI voice is not mine but I like to think since it is generated by using my voice the improvement is a fair tradeoff. Or am I just kidding my self. Either way, this post-vocal processing is better than anything I can do with all my Isotope tools.

Anyone else?

I've not tried them yet but I am very interested in finding an option that can generate good harmony vocals to my vox tracks.

I am interested, but if I added another 9.99 or 19.99 subscription every time I saw something that looked cool I would soon be broke.
Is there anything out there close to this that is free free?
Fadr used to be but they shut that down.

Just tried Kits.AI and...I'm much more impressed than I thought I would be. Nice job on the male vocals, not great on the females (which may be understandable). Huh.

I have now tried several of the web based packages

Kits.AI.
Audimee
Controlla Voice.
ACE Studio.
Vocaloid.
Murf.ai.
Synthesizer V.
Revocalize.
Emvoice.

None are free that I find and they all look very similar. I am about to push the button for Kits.ai (or Audimee). It does have a 3 day free period, but you have to signup first. They claim you can cancel at any time.

The cheapest package is $9.99 and gives 30 minutes of use (DL?) per month. There appears to be three main Features, 1) Custom voice cloning where you upload a number of examples of dry a-cappla voice and it creates a voice clone, 2) Use the voice clone to convert your vocals (limited in download time) and 3) a collection of audio tools for post and pre processing. I am only interested in using one of the 40+ royalty free singing voices to convert my vocals.

The free demo I used for this purpose sounded better than I expected, but you can not "download" the demo from the web unless you sign up.

Really cool examples! But I didn't hear any built-in harmony options. Looked like he did that in his DAW. I'd love to be able to upload my vox of the melody and get back a harmony track in one of those AI voices.

Ha! Well, while I'm making special requests, I'd like the timing and harmony note choices to be slightly varied from my original so it sounds like real vocalists singing along. My biggest issue with all of the software and hardware harmony generators is they track so perfectly that it is instantly recognizable as robotic!

Vocaloid and SynthesizerV aren't web based.

The Dreamtonics voice changer is called VocoFlex, and is currently in closed beta. I signed up for it, but apparently I'm not enough of an influencer to be part of the beta. frown

Like SynthesizerV, VocoFlex will not be subscription based.

I was able to get "free" conversions on Audimee. Under their free plan you can get 15 minutes of "conversion time" with up to 14 different AI voices (~5 male voices). Each different voice conversion can be downloaded and saved to your DAW.

Upload your acapella voice track as Input. Select the AI vocalist. Hit Convert. And you can download the output. I did this with three different male vocalists.

The jury is still out on the workflow for me! crazy

I concluded yesterday after listening very closely, that this is no ready for me. While it was interesting I think the best final result was still my own voice. Although, George was a very very close second. grin

This is really interesting stuff, and I appreciate the pioneering you guys are doing. I LOVE the idea of adding a second vocalist to the mix, specifically for harmonies. If it's not here, it's not far off...

My guess is that will be the next step for a pitch control program, i.e. AI harmonies.
There are programs out there that will do this now but the ones that I have tried have not sounded "organic" but more like robotic. I think a program like Melodyne would be a natural for automatic human sounding harmonies. YMMV

Yes, agreed. With the crazy rate of advancement with AI developments, possibly not far off too.

I recenty viewed a talk by Mark Chen, Head of Frontiers Research at OpenAI.
On the subject of what is coming after ChatGPT-4, he says Multimodal will come next;
Inputs will be text, audio, and video
Outputs will be text, audio and video

He says this path will be helpful in enabling AGI, Artificial General Intelligence.

There are good artificial voice synths on the market now. I listened to a few and decided to try Synth V. It's not a web based synth so it operates in your computer like any other music software. The results you get are based in a large part on the detail work you are willing to do and the time you invest in it. My most recent song OPEN ROAD in the showcase is one of the female synth voices from SV. It's mighty impressive at times.

You can find my music at:

Add nothing that adds nothing to the music.
You can make excuses or you can make progress but not both.

The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

Dreamtonics - the company that made SynthesizerV - released Vocoflex today:

https://dreamtonics.com/vocoflex/

Vocoflex is described as a "real-time voice creation & transformation plugin", which makes it akin to RVC for voice cloning.

At $200 (currently $159 on sale), it's not exactly cheap, but unlike RVC it doesn't require a high-powered video card to run it.

But unlike RVC, it offers features like being able to create your own voice, or morph between voices. So there's a lot more flexibility in what can be done with it.

However, you'll need to identify yourself before you can use the software. That means providing an image of your passport/driver's license/national identify card/residence permit, as well as having a camera on your computer to verify that your face matches your identify card. If you don't want to give out that information, don't get Vocoflex.

You'll also need to make sure you've got a powerful enough computer. I can render tracks in my DAW, but I can't play audio back in realtime through the plugin, as it renders at 70% realtime speed with nothing else loaded in the DAW except for a vocal track and Vocoflex.
