HI All
I have a song that is celtic in nature and using Bodhran Celtic Reel 4/4 even 16 timing. I just pulled this song up again and it appears that the drum track is playing significantly faster than the other tracks. The breaks are occurring at the wrong time and the beat is off-measure. I tried changing the drum track to something similar and even to an even 8, but it seems to be stuck in the bad timing. Has anyone ever run into this?

Would love to check this out for you but I need to know the exact style name! Or someone has to explain to me why I can't search the style picker for "Bodhran Celtic Reel" and find a proper hit?

Is there any chance that you have an audio file (.mps, .wav etc ) by the same file name in the same folder as the BIAB song file (.sgu, .mgu)?

If so, rename the audio file start the program again and see if the issue remains.

Using the O/P's settings I found 38 matches crazy
Do you have _LOUGH?
or
_REAL for example?

That is not the case. The song file is the only one that has that name, or even remotely close to it
Thanks!

Ya, I am not loving this frantic/hectic rhythm from this track from this percussive instrument. Off beat - well maybe, but hard to tell with that many notes. Maybe one two many beers fefore the gig.

Rich,

The _Carlow style works fine for me. With the song you created using this style, do you have any tracks set to half-time or double-time?

Interesting. I didn't know you could do that. It would make sense that this drum track is marked double time, especially since it goes into a chorus before the chorus happens. How can I check for that. Thanks!

Couple of things that might help us. What is the Build # of BIAB? Do Help, About.

Can you post the song in something like Dropbox, in a publicly accessible area, and give us a link? Then we can hear what you hear.

You can hear the drums simply with the demo chords applied to _Carlow.sty. I listened and did not say something was wrong with them, but I did say I did not like them - too hectic/frantic for my ears! I tried changing to half time, but was not impressed.

I spent a little time with this yesterday and also opened a ticket at pgmusic support. The song has a style change in it. I created a quick version of the song with the _carlow.sty. The song played as it should. When I added the additonal style _citrine.ty at the 21st bar, the originial style drums sped up and the drum breaks were skewed. When I removed the style change, the drums reverted back to normal. I can't guarantee it, but only noticed this anomoly after installing the latest version (1111) of BIAB for windows.

I am happy to post a link to the song if anyone is interested in helping to further diagnose

The information where you mentioned that the song has a style change in it is important. I think that this might be a recognized issue and hopefully will be corrected in a future patch. Thanks for the further detail, this is very helpful.
