Hi, I'm a new user and was wondering if there is a place in the Forum or elsewhere where users can share songs that they've created - whether that's shared on a free basis or tracks that people are selling.

Thx

Welcome to the forums, but obviously there's no need to welcome you to BIAB.

Yes, absolutely, there is a place that you can share your songs. Just follow this link to the User Showcase:

Thanks, that's very interesting. I see it's for original compositions but is there anywhere people can share jazz standards? Thx

Some people share BIAB songs they have heard on YouTube on this forums page:

One of the reasons you should find only original works in the showcase and posts like your request are limited is that PGM disallows posting of potential copyright infringements. From the forum rules:
Quote
Posting (or requesting) links to songs, music or other copyrighted material is forbidden. You are allowed to post links to your own original songs.
That applies even to jazz standards. The assorted RealBooks that one finds should have a royalty agreement with the composers and lyricists and give one rights to play, but they do not give rights to redistribute.

I'm not protesting or chastising or whatever here; just explaining what and why.

Agree with the above about posting non-original material on the PGM Showcase.

The O/P asked "was wondering if there is a place in the Forum or elsewhere where users can share songs that they've created", and I understood that to mean that the O/P wanted to share some of their songs, rather than listen to what others had produced. That's why I suggested the 'I just heard Band-in-a-Box on YouTube' forum page.

That forum page was deliberately designed to use a 3rd party as the sharing service.

I agree entirely. Just amplifying, as the OP mentioned jazz standards.
I suspect that minor9 may not strictly be allowed, but it remains an excellent resource.
