i think there has been a post about this but if i make minor changes such as muting an instrument i think i used to get a msg saying 'save it?' when closing BIAB. i don't know - is this a change or an 'improvement'?
of course i can always save manually but the msg was a useful reminder

of course i can always save manually but the msg was a useful reminder Bob, there were definitely improvements made to this a couple of years ago. What version are you running (build number)? Could you please list the steps you take that results in not receiving the expected message? E.g. 1: Start New Song 2: Enter some chords 3: Use <F5> to change x 4: etc

I just confirmed that changes to the Mute/Solo condition do not prompt a change/save warning when exiting the file in current version/build. I am not aware that it ever did.

Latest version, maybe muting an instrument never gave the save msg but muting an instrument is a significant change. All I did was open a file I had created earlier and muted one instrument. I will then transfer to RB for the final edit.

As AudioTrack said, there were discussions about this before, but I thought it was fixed. I don’t remember muting specifically being discussed but I think any change to a song should prompt a warning.

I agree.
Previously, a user could change the Style and not receive a warning prompt. That was changed, but I think that there are several other actions that do not set the event flag. The mute being one of them.

I was going to report this, but thought I should try it first. Muting an instrument definitely triggers the Save message on my BiaB. That is weird that it works in one case but not the other.
I don't work in like that in BiaB so I have to ask does the save message comes up when one uses volume or any other automation?
Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?
64 bit Win 10 Pro, the latest BiaB/RB, Roland Octa-Capture audio interface, a ton of software/hardware

4) No song has changed alert. And that's exactly why I originally asked for the steps to be provided (I even gave an example), but it took until now for someone to actually state them. So thanks, now we can report something that's reproducible.
