I can no longer record my vocals (using the Focusrite box) into a mono track. It is all hard left, and I am seeing a message on the audio track I have never seen before. It says "User edited 0 <no patch change> Stereo 32-bit
I would like to change it back to mono.

I would like to change it back to mono. Firstly, welcome to the forums. Can you provide any more information. Have you made any other changes recently to the sound card settings, or upgraded a Windows patch?

to save people guessing...lots more info is needed.
please post pics of the following settings...
..windows recording and playback includeing advanced tab.
..biab audio settings.
..usb sound device ie frite....control panel settings....that is displayed on your pc.
the above will help users and pg diagnose the possible problem.
people often encoounter probs because a setting is incorrect.
ps...also please read my tips in tips forum sometime re useing a pc for music production...it might help you over time.

I would like to change it back to mono. Hi Kaleidoscope. I don't know anything about Focusrite. That said, there is a setting in BIAB that may have got changed at some point in time. It would be worth checking. 1) Go to "Options | Preferences" and select "Audio" (#1 on the image). 2) Set 'preferred track type' to "Mono" and 'Record using' to "Both channels" (#2 on the image). 2) Set 'preferred track type' to "Mono" and 'Record using' to "Both channels" (#2 on the image). Since it's coming in on the left side, it's better to choose Left instead of Both Channels - that option is best for when you want two channels summed into one, or if you often switch between input 1 and input 2 and don't want to bother switching the preference each time.
