LIFE ON THE RUN
https://www.reverbnation.com/kaynemusic/song/33677621-life-on-the-runThis is a remix of a song I did a while back, using new mixing techniques, Wave Plug-ins, and editing. I did new vocal takes, and sing lead and harmony, and play acoustic and electric guitars, and bass. Running until midnight Running until dawn Running til my legs cant run no more Running from my demons Who wont leave me alone Running from the life I lived before Don't have a family Don't have a home Don't have no place I can call my own Running fast and low Running out of time Life on the run, Life on the run Cant look behind me, there no past I know Cant look ahead my blood runs cold Cant find shelter cause I own the storm Don’t have a friend to share my load Running from my past and moving way too fast Running from the gallows in the dawn Running with the devil Im Running out of time Running cause all hope is gone

Howdy Elliott....
I dig this one. Song structure is solid, mix works for me.. Well written lyrics, good vox all around and the chorus is where I would hear it. As a stereo mix, it is a bit dry for my pref but that's not a crit at all.....it's damn fine as is.
This is a good cut. Well done!

Hi Elliott,
This is great stuff - I really enjoyed it.
Great song and lyrics, very cartchy beat, perfect vocals and terrific guitar work.
Most importantly - it has an excellent chorus. Too many of us here on this forum forget that the chorus is the key to a good song.
Best Regards Nigel

Good hook, Elliott. Dig the harmony. Excellent guitar work all around. A real driving tune. Life on the run. The melody is perfect for the lyrics and the lyrics are perfect for the melody. Good production. Much enjoyed.

Cool stuff.... I dig this kind of song. Dark and hopping along.
Who played those slide/steel licks and the guitar licks there at 1:25 to 1:40? That was pretty hot. Nice.

Elliot...this is crazy good!...that baritone guitar work is really nice...super vocals and the over all guitar work you do is pro-level...this is a great production and stellar in every aspect....you move through so many styles of music so effortlessly...you have a great catalog of music my friend.

Really excellent song in all aspects! Reminiscent of "Ghost Riders In The Sky".

Elliott, this is an outstanding song It starts out like Ghost Riders in the Sky then morphs into a Robert Mitchum's Thunder Road like song - brilliant Outstanding guitar chops Great mix Loved it
Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?

Elliott, just outstanding! GREAT vocals and harmony work. Wonderful arrangement (as always) and a tight mix. The band is really nice...how much BiaB is in there?

This really moves along and I could see Johnny Cash doing this. Great guitar work and song structure. An enjoyable listen for sure.
https://soundcloud.com/user-646279677BiaB 2025 Windows For me there’s no better place in the band than to have one leg in the harmony world and the other in the percussive. Thank you Paul Tutmarc and Leo Fender.

Man, this is a great song. Catchy and fun to listen to. I agree that it may be a little dry, particularly the voices. If it were me, I'd try putting a little more reverb on the harmony vocal. Fabulous guitar work. I absolutely loved that outro. My kind of music!

Elliot,
Nice Country Rock style and BAND. On my speakers, the high EQ is off-the-charts (drums mostly). Kind of surprised no one else mentioned it. It dominates the mix through these speakers...

The driving beat definitely does the title justice, and your vocals are perfect for it. Love it! I can imagine this song in the next Quentin Tarantino movie...

Really cool country rock and, man, those vocals are excellent. Nice instrumental performances by you that sit in well with the BiaB crew. We could see a cowboy in a black and white movie galloping day and night and looking back over his shoulder. Hate to over work "catchy" so we'll say very engaging! Enjoyed it, J&B

Fun, fun, fun Elliott. Loved the vibe. Personal preference to rein in the snare a bit and/or make it less crisp with the EQ.

Hi Elliot,
Your song reminded me of Rawhide, that cowboy series and especially the song itself with the lyrics: "get them up, movin on, Rawhide, yeah"! Well, you didn't do that in your song, but it would have fitted. Beside this, I underline again you have a very nice voice. Love the way you sing this song. And the mix is very good. Enjoyed it,
Hans
