Earlier in August I posted about a song I was carting from BIAB to RealBand and that the tempo had gone all screwy, jumping all over the place. I thought it was my error using two drum tracks, but now I'm having that same issue just in BIAB.
First I used the chord wizard with a recording. No problems; everything got charted. I muted the audio track. Then I selected JAZFUNK style 4/4 at 110 bpm as the style. I even listened back and everything sounded fine until I returned to it today.
Now when I generate and play, it starts out good for a bar and then just goes faster and faster, clocking 358 then 237 bpm. It's nuts. I've not added anything to the style so it can't be that this time. I erased the audio track in case that was it.
I'm running on Windows 10. When I chatted online with Ember last time, it was suggested I try compatibility mode, but that didn't fix the issue. Ideas??? This is driving me mad.

When you say that you used the "chord wizard", does this mean that you are using the Audio Chord Wizard to create a tempo map and to determine the chords used in the audio recording? If so, I suspect that the problem might lie with Auto Marking. If Auto Marking was active while you were adjusting some barlines, it could potentially lead to a tempo map that has bars where the timing is not consistent. Furthermore, if you have been using Audio Chord Wizard, I encourage you to have a look at the tutorial that I have just finished preparing. It's in the "Tips and Tricks" forum. The direct link to my tutorial is below. This tutorial is a step-by-step guide that explains how I use ACW. https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=821394#Post821394

Thanks for your reply, Noel. That sounds entirely plausible. Thanks also for the tutorial link. I'll have a look.

Keith Can somebody please explain what the advertising is? I seem to have missed it completely.

Keith Can somebody please explain what the advertising is? I seem to have missed it completely. I'm guessing that it's probably BYOBand's signature. I'm not quite sure why it is offensive, if that is that case, because advertising users' sites in signatures has never been a problem for PG Music – as far as I can recall, at least. Forum Rule 7 says: Advertising is forbidden in any relation to your account except by explicit permission. This includes, but is not limited to, any goods for sale, advertising websites, and commercial-related or competing products. I have always interpreted that rule to be about advertising within forum posts and threads. While history seems to support my view on this, I'm more than happy to be corrected.

Checking further, I think it's the link in the O/P's signature:

The offending advertisement has been removed. It was completely unintentional. There was a small tick checked to "add signature" and I didn't even realized I'd made a signature let alone that I needed to uncheck the box to keep it from adding itself to the post. Still learning my way around a forum as well as BIAB!

All good. It didn't really worry me, I was more intrigued as to where the 'advertising' was
