Hey Y'all, Some great stuff on the forum lately. Here is a Gospel Rock tune. Some folks have said if they want the exact piano sound they are looking for they have to play it themselves. I guess Elton John might have said that, too. Anyway, I would say if you want it to sound like Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, you might have to play it yourself as well. David, GREAT SONG! One of your best and most interesting vocals. I can hear all of your influences loud and clear and they sound great. The mix, overall production and your excellent vocal delivery make this one a new favorite for me. So well done! Bob

A timely message in a world where truth is becoming a rare commodity and trust is easily misplaced. Excellent track coupled with what, to my ears, was a slightly Dylanesque vocal delivery (though not quite as restrained as Bob himself).
Good one!
My music may not set the world on fire but if it causes a glow in just one person's heart, it has all been worthwhile

Hi David. l like your lyric, arrangement and your emotional delivery. I remember saying to my kids when they were kids, "Don't trust anybody, except your self". Now I think about it I should have added, "and make sure that you can be trusted".
Re the number of songs on the forum, yes, it's like a new small factory. Vic

Hi, David. Interesting arrangement - there's a lot going on, and it sounds pretty loose. Sort of like the group is warming up on a song, the organist is noodling around and the background singers are still working out their parts. A bit chaotic, but I guess that's what you were aiming for. Anyway, nice upbeat song. I enjoyed the listen.

Super song, David! I, too LOVE your vocals on this one. Either Mick or Bob would DEFINTELY crack a big grin. Great job playing/layering the guitars and producing a cool, BIG sound. You always do a fantastic job creating beauty from chaos. I'm envious, but in a healthy way, not the Seven Deadly Sins way. Ha! GREAT JOB!

Keith played a lot of the bass parts in the studio cuz he didn't want it sound like Bill. Great sing, David. Chillingly good. I really enjoy the vocal (nothing new there for me). I like the strong background support. No need to knock on that door like Dylan. It's always open. Much enjoyed this much enjoyable song, my friend.

Cool Gospel song .... sounds like a Jagger/Richards production. I like the feel, it sounds like it was recorded live.

David Cuny,
Hey thanks man, thanks for the listen and the comments, always appreciated so much! Very kind, friendly and funny!
To shed some light on my artistic mission here: don't know what to say about the loose part. Everything is in a deep deep pocket. That's the kind of deep deep pocket that you get when you pick up an instrument and you play something.
From my own perspective I wouldn't call it loose. I would call it tight as orange spandex in its own way.
In a way I suppose I'm extremely old school, in that I've spent most of my life playing live, and even recording live, and I'm addicted to the smell of hot burning tubes in a Fender Twin Reverb.
Thanks for the listen. Best of luck with your forthcoming projects.

David,
It's a very emotional song. The choir and organ create a somewhat gospel-like feel. When I read your description, I thought the piano would play a major role, but it seems like the guitar plays a more prominent role. Regardless of that, it's a very good song. Enjoyed my listen a lot.
Best regards.

Yes, this is gospel rock reminiscent of Dylan’s gospel period, and very well done too.
The shout out to the Stones is cool.
Great performances by you and the BiaB Wrecking Crew.
Love the passionate vocal.
Rock on!

Very good song David. The words are spot on and I simply love that melody and chord progession. I've missed hearing stuff like this.
