Hullo Ray,
Thank you for that nudge.
I was a little concerned about it so now you've brought it up I have changed that part.
Maybe though I need to put an extra bar rest after it instead. I will ponder.

This has a sound straight out the heartland. You sing it with feeling and conviction. I really like the instrumentation. Bittersweet lyrics, specially that chorus. All sounds good to me.

Wonderful piece of work. Great writing and you put your soul in every word and the guitar playing and sound is amazing. What style did you use.

Thank you fitzy.
The style was originally Lull Dreamy Country but I changed all the instruments including drums.

Vic, sometimes the "quick" ones are the best ones and this song proves that theory!
An outstanding song.
Great vocal and lyrics.
Super guitar chops.
Great mix.

Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Really like the opening fiddles

That is a poignant lyric and melody

We could picture him sitting on a cabin porch way back in the woods

Nice open and supportive mix indeed.

Enjoyed it!

Cheers J&B.
Yes, I could picture him there too but my image was a small, dingy room in a run down apartment block.
A. cabin in the woods might be one step up from that

Thanks for the improved habitat. grin

Simple, but touching introspective story. Very nice title that calls for an explanation and the listener has to ponder the answer.
The band supports very well, the fiddle is the backbone and that solo guitarist fits perfectly to the mood.
Enjoyed the vocals. Very pleasant singer-songwriter music, I wouldn't change a thing!
