BIAB 2024 build 1113
VST 6.1.13

Having many problems generating the tracks and importing them in Bitwig in the VST plugin
Had no problems with Reaper but prefer other features of Bitwig.

Is anyone experiencing the same problems.

I recently purchased Bitwig Studio v5, but haven't tried the BiaB plugin in it yet, so I'm following this post. I'll give it a try later today.

NOTE: I assume that you're on the latest version of Bitwig v5.2.4. What are the specifics of your setup? You can put them in your signature like I did, so you won't have to post them each time you have a question or problem. And, welcome to the BiaB forum!

Update: So it seems to work, but not on every style of tune
Sometimes the timing is perfect, sometimes I have to stretch to almost half time.
For example: _Night1 Tempo = 200
When I drag the wavs they are double speed...

For other styles, everything is ok

Sometimes the rendering just doesn't produce wav files
Seems to be more tricky in Bitwig than Reaper.

Bitwig tries to detect the tempo of whatever audio you drag into it, and the default detection range is 80-160bpm - that's why 200bpm stuff is playing at double speed, it's being detected as 100bpm.

There are two ways around it - you can either manually set the tempo for each clip by right clicking each clip then selecting Tempo > Set Event Tempo, or you can Acidize the renders by opening the plugin Preferences > Rendering, then enable Acidize Renders. Acidizing embeds tempo and pitch information into each clip, which adds a little time to each render.

I found that acidizing worked every time, however if for some reason it doesn't work then manually setting tempo for each clip will work 100%.

Yes !! That was the correct solution.

The tempo detection range was causing problem in rendering also.
Everything seems fine. I was not familiar with the "acidize" term nor its effect.

Thank you Simon, I think all is good now. I can continue to challenge myself with up tempo tunes !!

Your support was very helpful
