Is it possible to play an instrument that plays in standalone Kontakt in BIAB ?
I have a wonderful piano I'd like to use in BIAB.
I know you can play BIAB and its sounds as a VSTi in a DAW but I'm talking about hearing the piano that plays in Kontakt in standalone BIAB.
I also know you can use VSTi/DXi synths in BIAB. But what about Kontakt and its various instruments ?

Bob NI 7 and beyond are VST3 which the current version of BIAB is not compatible. Best I recall if you have NI 6 you are good to go.

Yes, as mentioned above, NI6 comes with VST2 versions of the synth(s).
NI7 does not as far as I have found.
I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

So if I can see and play my VSTi or DXi in Cubase they should show up in the list of them and play when I go to Options in BIAB (assuming of
course that they play in the earlier Kontakt that supports VST2 and not VST3), correct ?

Partially true. It depends. Some instruments released in last two years (by NI) will not work with Kont.6. On the top of that, some earlier instruments that were made for K6 are no longer working with K6, if you updated them through Native Access, and to make them work again (in K6), legacy installers must be re-run.
There are quite a few of us here patiently waiting for a long due VST3 support...
