I haven't been here for a long time. I suddenly thought of something today.
Does BIAB now support VST3?
WIN10 20H2, AMD R4800H ,16G , 2T ,FOCUSRITE 2i4 MKII，Studio One,FL STUDIO

I haven't been here for a long time. I suddenly thought of something today.
Does BIAB now support VST3? No. (sadly). There has been an expectation that it would be delivered before now, but I understand that as of today, it has still not been delivered. Others may know more.

Not yet. It was supposed to have been released during this year, but no sign yet (Beta testers may have seen it).
There are some VST hosts that will run VST3s in a VST2 wrapper, several free. Element by Kushview has been recommended by one particular and knowlegable BIAB user. There are several "best of" pages around.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.

There are some VST hosts that will run VST3s in a VST2 wrapper, several free. Element by Kushview has been recommended by one particular and knowlegable BIAB user. There are several "best of" pages around. To add on to this, using Kushview Element as a wrapper/host for your VST3s, while perhaps the most significant benefit for using within BiaB, is only scratching the surface of what you can do with it. It does an amazing job at locating all your plugins' dll files at initial scan and then updating automatically whenever you add a new one. You can set up parallel processing chains, add audio effects to MIDI tracks, and so much more! Cannot recommend this one enough--and as mentioned above, it's FREE!

I doubt if any beta testers have seen VST3... Then I presume we won't see it in the 2025 release, either. Presumably also no CLAP, though that's a much lesser issue at present.

What is it that makes VST3 so very diffucult to implement in BIAB?
Is it related to the underlaying plattform or a very technical problematic issue that is hard to solve within BIAB?
(other product companies seem to solve this)
Just curious.

If some are familiar with Komplete Kontrol, know that it is also able to manage VST3 inside BIAB, very useful.
