1. Design a floating keyboard in BIAB, which can display each chord note in real time. Both in chord building and in the main programming interface.
2. I want to input at least 4 chords per bar, not just 2. I don't want to rely on microchords. I've never used microchords.
3. It is more convenient to find and select realtrack, and more convenient to switch and insert realtracks
4.Support VST3 if possible

... 2. I want to input at least 4 chords per bar, not just 2. ... For a song with a 4/4 time signature, you have always been able to input 4 chords per bar. You didn't know that?

For a song with a 4/4 time signature, you have always been able to input 4 chords per bar. You didn't know that? But I don't want to use commas. Because the one after the comma is different from the one before it. I hope to actually input four or eight chords.

I’m sure you understand you can now enter up to 16 chords per 4/4 measure. So, your real request is to do it differently. What is the reason you don’t want to use commas or micro chords? You may have a good reason but it would strengthen your request if we knew why.

What is the reason you don’t want to use commas or micro chords? I can't click on the chord after the comma. I can't control the micro chords. I want each bar to be 4 boxes directly. Instead of using commas or micro chords. I want the rights of each chord to be the same and equal.

I want the rights of each chord to be the same and equal. You are correct in saying that you cannot hear the F chord if you right-click on the F and select Play Current Chord. You only hear the first chord (E). Your suggestion that all chords should have the same behavior is worthwhile. +1

Your suggestion that all chords should have the same behavior is worthwhile. +1 I think SBM's requests in this regard have always been mostly about auditioning the chords more than about the actual process of putting the chords into BiaB. That said, I think both he and I find the variety of ways one has to use to get each chord into position rather frustrating and bemusing. Three different methods to enter the chords by typing? Cell, 2nd/4th beat, 'microchords'. It's actually a bit silly, isn't it? I imagine that it's the usual story of a combination of history and new features. Regarding a 'keyboard', I suspect that if the chords were autitoned via MIDI, it should be a fairly simple task to send the MIDI to an external virtual MIDI keyboard ... I imagine there are plenty of those available for Windows; I've only ever used them on Linux or on the built-in virtual keyboards in things like Kontakt and sforzando.

Yes, absolutely, and this is most probably evidenced through the way this product 'evolved'. Obviously there were initially 'hard-coded' methods to deliver 4 chords per bar, together with the associated shortcomings (a user could only review the chord on beats 1 or 3). As more new features were added (e.g. micro-chords), these shortcomings simply multiplied. This is why I have advocated for several years to deliver multiple 'improvements' to existing functionality rather than ("not another") 50 new features. I do hope that this year is different. I genuinely believe that a lot of users would purchase upgrades based on big improvements to the way things currently work.

100% agree! i have worked with Microchords and it does work as intended where one as in the demos want the chords to rapidly change to create a feeling or to create a cadence to a bar. However as many times as it works it also doesn't work and i give up.

As more new features were added (e.g. micro-chords), these shortcomings simply multiplied. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the very earliest versions had only two chords per bar ... the ones that audition today. The code increases, the shortcomings multiply, the bugs multiply, the maintenence multiplies...
