Hi, Vic.

Love the new arrangement. The delicate instrumentation backs your voice nicely.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Vic,

i think you aced this. The vocal is so perfect and the simplicity of the backing tracks give the exact foundation needed to support the vocal and lyric.

Di and I have two Hibiscus plants in our house. neither is a Confederate Rose, but we had one up in Tennessee about 12 years ago.

This is such a good song and performance.

Thanks Deej.
Strange you should mention the lyric to instrumentation match as at first it struck me that the picking may be a little too lively.

Superb, Vic. The lyrics are what takes this song over the top, but you have, nevertheless, an incredible narrative style of singing, here ... which reflects itself in the music writing, itself. You are an excellent, excellent singer and songwriter. And yes, f*** war. Well done, a great, great song.

Hi Dan.
There must be thousands of stories to be told in that particular period of history.
It's already been the source of half a dozen songs of mine.
I liked that Ken Burns series too. A lot of work went into it.
Thank you for the comments.

Thanks J&B.
Someone on the old JPF site (who's name will remain hidden) commented that the original style was a bit "sing songy".
They may have been right.

Al and Di.
I tried to buy one a couple of years ago.
Couldn't get one locally and online they were selling twigs for mad prices so I gave up.
Glad you liked the song.

Thank you,
Vic

Hey Vic,

I always liked this song! I loved the first two versions and this one is also a real treat as well. Great lyrics and concept man. Well done.

Sorry for the lag time. I can't listen to your soundcloud links without being on my computer, as I have mentioned in the past, and can't figure that out. I listen to most stuff when I am out and about. Well great new version Vic, and Happy Holidays.

Great song. I'm particularly impressed by the lyrics and style. Really good job.
