Hi All,

Here's the latest from Joliz and I. This is called BLUE MAGIC CARPET.

Will you meet me in Chelsea
Where Leonard met Janice
Let’s take in the village
And make it our canvas

I can tell you some stories
Cause these streets can’t talk
I can show you the places
Where the old ghosts still walk

We can chase all the words
Of the songs that we knew
Wrapped up in the magic
Tangled up in the blue

Will you meet me in Paris
By the old flower market
And we can fly to New York
On my blue magic carpet

You can tell me some stories
I can write you some tunes
We can make some records
In the famous Cutting Room

We can chase all the words
Of the songs that we knew
Wrapped up in the magic
Tangled up in the blue

And we never did ask
How the ride would end
Down on West 23rd
Or in Paris as friends

We can chase all the words
Of the songs that we knew
Wrapped up in the magic
Tangled up in the blue
Wrapped up in the magic
Tangled up in the blue

Man, you are on a roll these days, Bob!
Great stuff, I'm enjoying these collaborations with Joliz. She reminds me of Joan Baez somewhat in this song.
Excellent!

Really cool. Has a kinda lo-fi back in the day sort of mix and sound to it. I guess that was the artistic intention.

You two are on as roll!

Yes, Joliz has an amazing voice for sure. It's a privilege to be able to make music with her.

Well, I'm wrapped up in the magic of this tune, Bob. Am once again transported to a cool, distant place that I've never been to, but is some how familiar. Really nice storytelling. That opening guitar sounds so realistic I had to check the credits. Nicely arranged and instrumented, and like how you and Joliz trade off then intertwine. Classy and classic. Great job!

Bob and Joliz, You two are putting out hit after hit!
I really liked you backing band in this one and, of course, you excellent vocals.
Your mix was spot on.
IMHO this is your best to date.

Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?

Bob,

I probably sound like a broken record . . . I don’t know how you get that incredibly crisp and clear sound out of your mixes . . . but they sound so professional and showcase all the emotion in your voice. Incredibly lyrics that set up an impressive duet. So wonderfully done!!

You two make some fantastic music. Quite a roll you're on. And all of us get the benefit of all that great music. Good stuff!

David,

Thanks. We appreciate the kind words.

For this mix I used the Waves J37 Tape Lo-Fi Filter. This is a filter that I have used a few times in the past when I'm looking for a close-up intimate sound.

Outstanding, Bob & Joliz. Man, I'd like to run into you guys in the Village. I'd come to every show for sure. A wonderful song written and performed so well.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Bob & Joliz,

Y'all are firing on all cylinders. Big time.
So Good.

You seem to polish your skills with every new release. Shining.

"I can tell you some stories
Cause these streets can’t talk
I can show you the places
Where the old ghosts still walk "

A perfect description of what you do with pen and paper and guitar.

Beautiful. Didn't expect Joliz's solo entry ... a wonderful surprise, as was your entry together.

Loved the lyrics, too ... magical. These stood out, for some reason, to me:

"And we never did ask
How the ride would end
Down on West 23rd
Or in Paris as friends"

Well done to the both of you. You're somehow producing one classic after another.

I love everything you do. The lyrics on this were awesome. Tangled up in Blue: have you seen the Dylan movie? I wonder if it's any good. Great work, Bob
