Happy Sunday, Carl. So sad, the news of your friend. Hopefully remembering the times you had you will also write one featuring the lasting feelings of happiness the friendship gave you. 45 years is a long time.

I'll admit listening to this one yesterday although it wasn't Sunday. You did your usual outstanding write and arrangement, not to mention your wonderful performances. There is a special touch of emotion both in the write and the feeling as you play it. A quiet sermon of reverie.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Marty - I was utterly filled with emotion (and tears) when this tune came along,
thanks very much indeed for your lovely and touching comments!
A bit of a 'funeral march' but chuffed you heard the emotions,

Hope your Sunday is great & happy,

Carl

Hi David - thanks a lot for listening and comments
yes a bit of a sad one this time with powerful emotions on my part.
The acoustic guitar on the bandcamp pics is a custom made one
by a fine local luthier Con Rendell - that's my open-C tuned slide
guitar nowadays.
This tune was played on another locally made electric 335 semi
style guitar with Lollar pickups - (luthier Bob Aldis no longer making
instruments). It was recorded straight into ScuffhamAmps S-Gear,

Best wishes, Carl

Carl,

As always, well-played and arranged. Your music is always a pleasure.

FWIW, I'm a cancer survivor of 12 years and going strong as I approach my 78th birthday in March.

Best to you and your friend.

Alan & Di

Ah HOPE is always worthwhile Alan - thanks so much for offering hope for my friend of 45 years,
sadly his excellent music abilities diminished over the years due to alcoholism and heavy smoking!
Really good to hear of your survival success at nearly 78 - I'll be 76 next week and feeling my age,
had a few brushes with the medics & surgery but so far ok (except for ongoing lower back damage).

Thank you for your kind comments Alan,

Best wishes to you & Di,

Carl

Thanks Bob - super pleased you heard & felt the emotion in my instrumental,
a little unusual for this forum but I felt it might be worth posting.
Thanks for taking a listen,

Cheers, Carl

Carl, sorry about your friend. And yes there is hope as I am also a cancer survivor. I had colon cancer 21 years ago. I'll be 79 in April.

Your song is simple beautiful, a real masterpiece.

Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?

Thanks a lot Mario - fantastic to hear of you being yet another cancer survivor,
and 21 years ago, wow!!! I will pass these hopes on to my friend to up his spirits
during difficult treatments - surgery first we think and then whatever?
Super glad you liked my tune despite the obvious sadness built into it,

Cheers, Carl
