I enjoyed this one too.

Thanks, ray. It was a pretty quick mix, not a lot attention to the drums.

The guitar fits - nothing flashy, just doing what's called for by the song.

Appreciate that, David.

Hey floyd.

My gosh! My ears and my brain find this really pleasurable to listen to.
"Simple easy listening" has always been my favourite genre!
Your second-ever instrumental is as worthy an instrumental as I've ever listened to.
As you would know, there was a time when instrumentals were Top-40 material.
It's a great loss to music that these days that's rarely the case.
It's refreshing to sit back and relax to your playing smile

Loved it!

We love a bossa and you nailed the groove.
Janice said it was nice and slinky,
She felt like half closing her eyes and singing along in a Peggy Lee style. 😊

All meaning cool guitar chops/tone, session guys and mix.

Keep ‘em coming mr jane.

Fun!

I'd probably have used levels to bring the guitar a bit more to the front since it's the main thing you want us to hear. Dropping the piano out totally in places would make it really shine and be clean at the same time. But... hey I know you already know that.

Edit: I really need to do some noodling too. It's been way too long. Just playing for pure enjoyment. Thanks for reminding me about that.
Thanks, Herb

Much appreciated, Marty.

The appearance of Floyd's emerging guitar skills is a welcome addition to the forum. Not a style that I would expect, but it is certainly enjoyable. Keep plucking!

floyd,

It's a bit lonely that your vocals aren't there, but it's a fun instrumental song.
It's a mix of Latin, bossa nova, and a little bit of rock, and so cool.
It's nice to listen to your instrumentals sometimes.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Smooooooth, Floyd! Very peaceful to be sure.

I always thought of you as a lyricist and melodist only; didn't realize you were a natural guitar picker as well.

Don't know about the natural part, but the picking just started a month ago.
Thanks for having a listen.

Kind of missed your amazing vocals, but it was a good listen. Could you sing a bossa nova? That would be something to hear! I imagine you could sing anything but opera if you gave it a shot. Nice guitar work, I didn't have any problem hearing it against the piano.

Very cool groove Floyd. Nothing better than putting on a loop and just jamming away. Your riffs and licks fit perfectly into the groove. Really nice listen..
