Sunday's Conundrum

Two Sundays ago BobH and I were listening to some of the previous jams we did. Bob said lets do something with this one. For the next few days I attempted to come up with something but nothing I tried worked to my satisfaction. Bob came over this last Sunday and we threw stuff at it and what you will here is what we thought stuck. You can let us know how we did.

BiaB style - Billy Country rock
Tempo - 110 PBM
I deleted the strings, drums, guitar, and bass tracks
Piano - Lounge Lizard - Tine Bassed, 11 slightly distorted
Utility track - Kontakt - Vintage Chords - My strings (a patch I made)
The drum track is from Steven Slate's SSD-5 grooves and Deluxe Vintage 70 tight kit.

Bob is playing the steel and nylon string guitars. I am playing my fretless Bass, electric guitar, mandolin, and via my keyboard controller the harmonica.

As always all comments are welcomed.

Mario,

You guys create some beautiful music...

Love the gentle melody against the more propulsive drums. It creates a whole story. Great production work as well.

I really enjoyed this one.

Mario, nicely done again you two! Nicely arranged and played across all real and virtual instruments. The reedy harmonica-like sound is very cool That's a fun snare on the drum, too. Good one!

Way to stick to it, Bob & Mario. Well worth it!! Bob put together some cool lyrical-like melody. The bass could be louder --but most people ignore me when I say that. The mando guy came up with some cool stuff, too. The harmonica has a good sound quality and fits the tune very well. Your stick-to-it-ovnous payed off it musical dividends.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanx Marty. Bob can play some great guitar leads can't he!
I'll turn up the bass on the next song I play one on.

Very lovely instrumental. Definitely a Sunday composition.

We love a fretless bass ... you got us thinking about Jack Bruce so bring it up 2-4db! smile

As always with you guys everything is nicely performed in chops and tone.
That nylon sits so well with somewhat heavier backing tracks. Cool.

Great over the coffee tune this morning!

The mandolin has a little side: Mario on a gondola in Venice. Bravo my friend but watch out for the Chianti.

Man you just blow me away with the sounds you can get out of that controller. I thought the intro with the drums was pretty cool too. You've got a great jam partner there Mario and you guys are putting out some good stuff.

Thanx Laurent. Not a big fan of Chianti or actually any wine really. I'm a beer guy!
