Tweaked the piano sound (was a bit on the sharp side) and also the initial mix -
hope that's ok?

Hi Carl,
If I had to tell someone that here on the site is the bossa nova specialist I would say CARL! But here, it's true, there is this mix of bossa (obvious) but also folk. Country, I don't know but in any case the listening is very pleasant and it's relaxing. Yeah, you are right it sounds rather cuntry, from 3'35". Thank you for this very beautiful instrumental. Have a good weekend, Carl

Thanks very much Paul for your lovely comments - very much appreciated!
I'm very glad you liked my tune - bossa country folk, yes a bit of a mix!
Wishing you a relaxing and enjoyable weekend,

Best, Carl

Carl, this is a beautiful piece of music.
Very calm and relaxing.
The mix is fantastic.

To nit pick I really liked the first section but thought the second part really didn't fit. That is just my opinion and others may not agree.

Regardless this is a fantastic song.

Unclear if the pianist is a total beginner or a professional jazz player?

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hmmm, a country instrumental . . . I had to click on this thread and give it a listen as I was intrigued. At first, I wasn’t quite sure I thought it was country, but then you started layering in all those classic country licks . . . and I thought, yeah, I can hear that.

Regardless, a pretty and soothing tune. Nice work!!

Mario - really glad you thought it was ok, thanks a lot for nice comments!
Understand what you mean about the second part - I'm not much of an
arranger, they just pop out as they come without much planning (old brain -
know what I mean?).

Deej - we decided in the end it's a bit of a mixture of country/folk/bossa when I exchanged
comments with Paul above, don't know whether that fits with you -
thanks very much for taking a listen and for nice comments!

Best, Carl

Very pretty - and sentimental, Carl. Your arrangements give your superior talent an extra shine. Most enjoyable!
