I just got Band in a Box 2025. Well, I tried to download it on my computer, there was not enough space to put the newest on the hard drive. I already had 2020 on my computer. I thought it would just upgrade the version that I had on there. Well, I had to do a rollback on my hard drive. It corrupted the hard drive, I had to completely redo my hard drive, I put a new 1-TB hard drive on my system. So I re-installed Windows-10, lots more space, but I noticed that they have taken a lot of the different real tracks out of 2025, Now what my question is, is this. Since I had to re-do my hard-drive I had to re-install everything so 2020 was gone. So did I loose a lot of the real tracks because of this? Because it seems like the real-track list is a lot shorter when I try to find certain instrument's so when I got the upgrade price because of owning the previous version of 2020, when I re-installed it from the internet did I just get the upgrade, or did I get everything that the new version has to offer? I also have the hard drive, so if I have to re-install it from the hard drive I can do that. Any help appreciated, thank you so much in advance.

Not very clear... Question #1 Did you buy a crossgrade from 2020 to 2025 Ultrapak on Hard Drive or something else?

They said that I qualify for the upgrade price because I had 2020, I got the ultra pack, and an extra $25.00 I think for the hard drive. My total was $196.00 I think. I did download and install from the internet, but as I said I also have the hard drive.

I'm not completely clear on this problem either, but one possibility is that you had a lot of Xtra Styles and Bonus Paks and maybe Artist Paks installed on your 2020 version. Those are extras and would not be there now. You just have to find the installers and load them again. If you lost those files, too, then log on to your customer account (different from this forum account) and if you bought directly from PG Music, your past install files will be there.
I also ran out of space installing my extras over the new version. I just moved some files to another drive and proceeded. There was no reason that would 'corrupt' the drive. Of course, you are better off with a new drive, and it isn't a bad idea to start over by reinstalling Windows every few years anyway and get the cobwebs out.

OK Your 2025 HD has most of RTs, minus loops and extra styles you might of bought earlier. If I was in similar situation, I would just do a clean install from 2025 HD, not to second guess, and then look in the account to download x-tras if you have any as Matt suggested.
-- But before you do that, what is your RT count now? It would say in the picker. Make sure to deselect any filters, so it shows the correct number.

If you had the older version and any of the add on packs and bonus packs, they would have contained a number of styles and tracks not in the normal version. You should be able to check your account and download them again. If you have the disks from the old 2020 version or the hard drive, just reinstall from those.

"If you have the disks from the old 2020 version or the hard drive, just reinstall from those." I don't believe any xtra "packs" are included in any disks.... I would NOT install anything from the prior to 2025 "disks". All your "extra" stuff should be on your account.

That’s a good point. I save the downloaded installers for all the extras so I can easily rebuild if needed.
Of course we haven’t yet established that this is what you are missing.

… I don't believe any xtra "packs" are included in any disks.... Correct. I would NOT install anything from the prior to 2025 "disks". All your "extra" stuff should be on your account. Agreed. All the download links are in our User Accounts with a couple exceptions*. There are other links that can be added to the BIAB Install Manager. You can do it either way. *Contents of the Drums and RealTracks folders for the Audiophile versions of BIAB are found only on the media that is shipped to us. Those can be moved to any location you want. The contents for prior years are included and do not need to be restored from prior years. Some Artist and a few other packs do not appear to be available anymore, even if purchased in the past. One should archive those in a safe place. I have an external drive for that use included in my Time Machine backups.
