Sneaking in a one-off solo guitar track here (hope that's ok?) - haven't done much solo recording so wondering how it sounds on other speakers/headphones/earbuds, pos/neg comments much appreciated:

I love the warmth in this 1939 instrument's sound and hope that may have come across?

Carl, this sound fantastic on my near field monitor as well as on my AKG headphones.
That axe has a sweet sound when you play it.
Great chops.

I love your folky fingerpicking style. Sounded clean and rich on my crappy old headphones.
Nice.

Hi, Carl.

I always enjoy your songs, this is a lovely bit of music! smile

I ran it through all the various emulations on my RealPhones. It sounded great on everything except for the cheap consumer stuff, which has no bass.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Thanks a lot for that David - parlour guitars are by nature very thin on the bass end anyway compared to full-size jumbos, appreciate you running my track through RealPhones for comparison! Glad most of that sounded ok!

Thanks for taking a listen & for your nice comment,

Carl

Carl, this sounds great. Really nice playing and your vintage parlor guitar has quite a refined, balanced sound. Well done!

Just a thought, but with your great ear and musical sensibility, you have a lot to offer in reviewing the postings of other forum members. I know they'd be chuffed.

For many guitarists it would be risky to record a one-track piece, but for you, Carl, it is pure masterful beauty. Sensation. Man, is that sweet. Very accomplished and so relaxed. You take us with you with closed eyes and a smile. Thanks.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanks so much Ron, very pleased you liked my parlour piece - points taken regarding comments on other forum member's tracks, will turn a blind ear to the distorted guitars through digital virtual amps which don't sound good in my ears and try to comment on the amazing skills of all sorts displayed on the forum lately. Not so good with words and don't want to ruffle any feathers by saying the wrong thing - there doesn't seem to be much of my preferred 'softer' styles of music on the forum?

Thanks for your kind comments Ron, Carl
